The MOONTV camera system is an invention that grew out of the need use a small camera, like a smartphone or a CDC (Compact Digital Camera), to image the moon. This system is protected by a US patent. Thissystem was used to produce the Moon Phase book you can find on the "Moon Phase Book" tab.
Because the instrument (bench, phone,binoculars, finder, platform) weighs a solid 10 lbs, it has to be mounted on a tripod. The key here is the tripod head. In this photo my hand is holding the tripod head.
