As the title says this book is a guide to be used by the observer to identify surface features such as craters, Mare, and Apollo landing sites.
It is filled with photos taken with the MOON TV optical system. Details on this camera system can be found under the tab "MOONTV Camera System".
In all there are 28 days every month when one can see the Moon. All 28 days are represented by photographs. The photography for the book took 8 months (over 3,000 exposures). The imaging details are described in the book in exhausting detail.
The book opens flat, due to the three ring binder. Each page can be removed which is quite handy when one is at the telescope looking through the eyepiece.
